Master bread baker and Master Food Preserver, Erik Knutzen, will be leading us in his genius rye bread making techniques, laying to rest those fears and inhibitions on making our favorite dark breads. We will also be joined by our friends Marissa and Lauren, of Bar & Garden who will offer tastes from a selection of their favorite micro-brews, while instructing on the nuance and flavors of craft beer.

With our appetites whetted and tastes perfectly blended for bread and beer, Master Food Preserver and accomplished home brewmeister, Jake Mumm, will walk us through how to make our own beer at home. The evening will finish with a stroll up the street to Bar & Garden, for a sip of something and a chance to buy our new favorite beers.

Throughout the evening we’ll be serving a house made pickle plate, soft and hard local cheeses, Your Local Hive dark ale mustard, and a selection of our favoriteYLH goodies.

Everyone goes home with recipes for bread, pickles, mustard and beer!
