Come learn the basics of pickling and fermentation at Cognoscenti Coffee in Culver City! We will begin by tasting a variety of fruit and vegetable pickles that may adorn any appetizer plate or accompany a glass of bubbly or beer. Sweet vinegary red peppers, spicy turmeric zuchini, cinnamon allspice peaches, preserved tangerines and classic dill cukes.
You will learn to make both fermented and water bath pickles and your own Moroccan preserved fruit. Then, you will take home samples from your labor, and our favorite recipes to guide you in your newly acquired obsession.
